Senior Riley Adams scored 4 goals and recorded 2 assists to lead the Leopards. Adams has scored a team leading 18 goals on the season to go along with 6 assists. After his performance Tuesday he now sits just a hat trick away from tying his brother Bailey Adams for the school record of 58.
Speaking of Adams, Riley’s younger brother Freshman Brady Adams also finished with a pair of goals to go along with his team-leading 7th assist of the season. Riley assisted on both of Brady’s goals, while Brady returned the favor in setting up Riley’s second goal to put Louisville ahead 3-0 at halftime.
Sophomore Cooper Gilbert also had a first half assist on Riley Adams’ first goal. Freshman Drew Dillen provided the assist on his hat trick score that was the first goal of the second half.
With the victory, the Leopards have now defeated the Tigers in 7 straight meetings dating back to 2015. Louisville now leads the all-time series 19-1-2, which includes an undefeated 10-0-1 record in games played at Massillon. The Leopards are undefeated against the Tigers in the last 20 matches in the series. Massillon won their first ever meeting in 2000 and hasn’t defeated Louisville since.
UP NEXT: The Leopards will next host the Wadsworth Grizzlies on Thursday, October 8. JV will begin at 5:30 PM and Varsity will follow at 7:30 PM.
