The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Basketball Team fell to the host Canton McKinley Bulldogs 73-39 Wednesday Night at Canton Memorial Fieldhouse. With the loss, Louisville drops to 4-3 on the season.

Haren Scores Team High 14 for Leopards
Junior Brooke Haren scored 12 of her team high 14 points in the first half to lead the Lady Leopards. She would make all 8 of her free throw attempts as Louisville finished 12 of 13 (92%) from the line as a team.
Nine different Lady Leopards scored during the contest. Other top scorers for Louisville included sophomore Courtney Barwick and senior Taryn Miglich who added 5 points each.
Taylor and Stokes Lead Lady Pups
Canton McKinley was led by the duo of senior guard Paris Stokes and freshman guard Mya Taylor who combined for 49 points. Taylor cashed in on 5 three-pointers and scored all of her 25 points from the field during the contest. Stokes made 7 of 9 attempt from the charity stride en rout to finishing with 24 points on the night.
Other top scorers for the Lady Bulldogs included senior forward Sidnee Bowden and junior guard KyLonee Foster who scored 9 points each. Bowden scored all of her points from beyond the arch.
McKinley opened up a 22-6 lead at the end of the first quarter and extended their advantage to 33-16 by halftime. The Bulldogs outscored the Leopards 24-10 in the third quarter to take a commanding 57-26 advantage into the final stanza. Canton McKinley edged Louisville in the final period 15-13 to solidify their victory.
McKinley Wins 12th Straight Over Louisville
The Lady Leopards have now dropped 12 straight contests against the Lady Bulldogs dating back to 1994. This includes falling in their last 7 games played on the road in the series.
Louisville is now 4-22 against Canton McKinley all-time, which includes a 1-13 record on the road in the head-to-head series. The Lady Leopards only road win over the Lady Bulldogs came exactly 31 years before, a 53-34 win at Canton Memorial Fieldhouse on December 21, 1991.
