The Louisville Leopards Varsity Basketball Team fell to the host Canton McKinley Bulldogs 76-67 Tuesday Night at Canton Memorial Fieldhouse. With the loss, Louisville falls to 0-2 on the young season.

Aljancic Scores Team High 32 for Leopards
Senior Wing Will Aljancic was the Leopards leading scorer in every quarter en rout to scoring a team high 32 points to lead LHS. All of Aljancic’s 13 field goal makes came from inside the arch and he also hit 6 of 8 shots from the free throw line.
Sophomores Brayden Gross and Beau Siegfried also reached double figures with 11 points each for the Leopards.
Graham Drops In Game High 36 for Bulldogs
Senior point guard Jahlil Graham scored 24 of his game high 36 points in the opening half to give Canton McKinley the early advantage. The Bulldogs led 20-13 at the end of the first and pulled ahead 41-24 by halftime.
Graham would finish a perfect 11-of-11 from the free throw stripe for the game, which included nailing all 6 of his free throw attempts in the fourth quarter. Louisville managed to trim their deficit to single digits at 51-42 by the end of the third quarter and got to within five points of their hosts in the fourth quarter. Canton McKinley was able to sink 9 of 10 free throws in the fourth quarter to maintain their lead as each team scored 25 points in the fourth quarter.
Senior guard Tra’Sean Foster also scored 11 of his 14 points in the final stanza and sophomore Dante McClellan reached double digits with 10.

The Bulldogs have now defeated the Leopards in 10 straight meetings dating back to the 1972 tournament. Canton McKinley has also won all 6 regular season matchups in the recent series between the two teams that started in 2015. This was the third meeting in that recent stint played at Canton Memorial Fieldhouse.
Louisville is now 1-12 against Canton McKinley all-time dating back to their first meeting in the 1947 tournament.

Louisville’s home opener against South Range was rescheduled from Friday, December 2 to Saturday, December 10 due to the Raiders advancing to the state title game in football.
