Lingenhoel Group - Arden and Lisa Lingenhoel - Cutler Real Estate AdThe Louisville Leopards Boys Varsity Basketball Team fell to the host Canfield Cardinals 69-58 Friday Night at Canfield High School. With the loss, Louisville falls to 3-5 on the season.

Cory Noble scored 12 of his team-high 16 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Leopards. Will Aljancic also made 3 three-pointers and finished with 14 points. Other top Louisville scorers included Hayden Nigro with 8 and Tyler Boldon with 7.

Canfield Rides Early Lead to Victory

The Cardinals led at the end of every quarter. Canfield sprung out to a 20-12 lead after the first quarter and extended their advantage to 33-21 at the break.

The Leopards outscored the Cardinals in the second half 37-36, but were unable to make up the early deficit. Canfield edged Louisville 19-18 in the third quarter, before LHS outscored CHS 19-17 in the final stanza.


Dye Leads Cardinals with Game-High 21

My Fit Life Personal Trainer Side AdThe Cardinals were led by Trey Dye who cashed in a pair of three-pointers and finished with a game-high 21 points. Harry Slaven also hit a pair of three-pointers and finished in double figures with 15. Other Canfield leading scorers included Jake Grdic who added 8 and Nick Pantelakis who tacked on 7.

The Cardinals are now 4-0 all-time against the Leopards which includes a 2-0 record in games played at Canfield. Louisville last traveled to Canfield on December 20, 1994, a contest in which they lost 74-58. This is the first meeting between the two programs since January 4, 2019. The Cardinals won that game in overtime 62-56 at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland.
