The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Basketball Team earned a 59-48 road victory over the host Boardman Spartans Wednesday Night at Boardman High School. With their third consecutive win, Louisville is now 3-1 on the season.
Senior Kelsey Adelman, sophomore Brooke Haren, and senior Aubrey Thorne all scored a game-high 16 points each to lead the Lady Leopards. Other LHS scorers included freshman Courtney Barwick with 6 points and junior Taryn Miglich with 5 points.
Haren & Thorne Propel Leps to Halftime Lead
Haren and Thorne both hit double figures before halftime. Haren set the tone early scoring the first points of the contest just seconds after Louisville won the opening tip. She would finish with 10 of her 16 points in the first half as a result.
Thorne scored all 11 of her opening half points in the second quarter as she caught fire from beyond the arch. She hit 3 of her 4 three-pointers on the evening in the second stanza as the Lady Leopards erupted for 22 points in the second period. Louisville went into the half ahead by double digits at 34-24.

Adelman Spearheads Late Louisville Run
The Lady Leopards maintained their advantage throughout the second half and had an answer to any offensive spurts the Spartans strung together. Boardman closed the gap to as little as 46-41 in the opening minute of the fourth quarter. Louisville responded with a 13-3 run that was spearheaded by 8 points from Adelman and 5 from Thorne.
The Lady Leopards defense also held the Spartans scoreless from the field for over a five minute stretch as LHS took a commanding 59-44 lead with under two minutes to play. Louisville rode that advantage to the end in earning their third straight victory.
