The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Basketball Team fell to the host Perry Panthers Monday night at Perry High School. With the loss, Louisville drops to 6-9 on the season.

Baker and Tillett Lead Louisville in Scoring

Gionino's Pizzeria Oakwood - Mobile AdMaggie Baker and Ella Tillett scored 6 points each to lead the Lady Leopards in scoring. Baker hit a three-pointer in the first quarter and accounted for all of Louisville’s scoring in the opening quarter. Baker also dished out a team-high 3 assists.

Tillett scored all of her points during the middle quarters, also pulling down three rebounds and adding a block on defense.


Kiko Secures Game-High 8 Rebounds and 2 Blocks

Mabel Kiko led the Lady Leopards on the glass with a game-high 8 rebounds to go along with 2 blocks. Kiko also hit a three-pointer in the third quarter.

Other scorers for Louisville included Mikayla Salmons with 5 points and 2 assists and Ava Seitz who buried a three-pointer for the Leopards’ only points of the fourth quarter.

Makenna Haugen and Kloey Rukavina also tallied 3 rebounds each.


Kleve and Randulic Pour in Game-High 11 Each for Perry

My Fit Life Personal Trainer Side AdLila Kleve and Alivia Randulic both scored a game-high 11 points to lead the Lady Panthers. Kleve made 3 three-pointers and scored all of her points in the opening half as Perry opened up a 28-10 lead at halftime. 

Randulic scored 9 of her 11 points in the second half as the Panthers continued to pour it on out of the locker room, outscoring the Leopards 28-13 in the second half. Kleve and Randulic also finished with 2 steals apiece.

Nine different Perry players found the scoring column. Katelyn Randulic totaled 9 points, recorded a game-high 5 assists, and registered a game-best 4 steals. Makenna Kopp made a pair of three-pointers and added 8 points. Jenna Haynes scored 7 points, while accumulating 4 rebounds and 2 steals. Mya Patton tacked on 4 points and tallied 2 blocks. Tatianna Evans, Melaina Knop, and Elaine Laubacher all added a basket each.

Laubacher also hauled in a team-leading 6 rebounds to go along with 2 steals and a block. The Panthers finished with a 29-26 edge on the boards, which included a 13-10 advantage on the offensive glass. 

After starting off 1-7, Perry has now won 5 of its last 6. They now hold a 6-8 record overall.


Leopards Vs. Panthers All-Time Girls Basketball Series

West Main Vet Clinic AdThe Lady Leopards have now dropped 4 of their last 6 against the Panthers. Louisville is now 19-25 against Perry all-time, which includes a 7-13 record when playing at PHS in the series.

The Lady Leopards are now 0-2 against Federal League foes this season. They have not won a road game against a Federal League team since edging Perry 51-49 on January 13, 2024. Louisville will look to end that streak when they travel to Lake Saturday.
