Young Early Second-Half Goal Lifts Indians

Corey Street for Mayor AdThe two teams played to a scoreless tie in the first half in the cold, rainy conditions.

Copley broke the deadlock in the opening minute of the second half. Hadyn Van Voorhis passed the ball ahead to Lexi Young. Keeping the ball close, Young controlled the ball with short dribbles working the Louisville defense toward the net. She then saw her opening with a hard dribble to the right and split the defense by blasting a shot into the right side of the net with approximately 39:08 remaining in the contest.

Neither team would score the rest of the way and the Lady Indians would prevail 1-0.
