The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Soccer Team shutout the host Austintown Fitch Falcons 3-0 Saturday Evening at Greenwood Chevrolet Falcon Stadium. With the victory, Louisville improves to 2-1-1 on the season.

Riley Goal Puts Leopards in Front Early
The varsity game originally scheduled for 5:00 started sooner than planned, but the Lady Leopards were ready to go out of the gate. Reese Riley scored an unassisted goal just 98 seconds into the game to give Louisville the early 1-0 advantage.
The Lady Leopards defense would shut down the Falcons for the remaining 38:22 of the opening half and ride that 1-0 lead into the break.
Lint & Lab Add to Louisville Lead in 2nd Half
Louisville tripled its advantage in the second half on a pair of goals by Kasey Lint and Violet Lab. Lint scored via an assist from Alyssa Schillig at the start of the 60th minute.
Lint then helped cement the Lady Leopards victory by assisting Violet Lab on the final score of the game with 49 seconds left.
Edgein Records Third Straight Shutout
The Lady Leopards held the Lady Falcons off the scoreboard in the final minute to secure their third consecutive shutout. Tristyn Edgein notched the shutout in goal recording one save in the process.
A streak of 3 consecutive shutouts or more has only been accomplished 7 times in Louisville Girls Soccer history. Four of those 7 have come in the past three years under the direction of Head Coach Dale Mitchell. Mitchell has coached 11% (40 games) of all games in Lady Leopards soccer history (370 games), but his teams have now accounted for 20% (23 shutouts) of all shutouts (113 shutouts) in team history.
Leopards Second Straight Shutout of Fitch
Louisville has now shutout Austintown Fitch in each of the past two meetings. The Lady Leopards blanked the Lady Falcons 2-0 last season at home.
Louisville stills trails the all-time series 2-4, which includes a 1-2 record when playing at Austintown Fitch.
