Leopards Home Opener Spoiled by Blue Streaks – Volleyball
Lake 25-25-25, Louisville 20-19-22
The Louisville Leopards Varsity Volleyball team was swept by the visiting Lake Blue Streaks 20-25, 19-25, 22-25 Thursday Evening at Louisville High School. With the loss in the home opener, the Lady Leopards drop to 0-2 to start the season.
Erin Hahn finished with a team high 10 kills and 1 block to lead Louisville. Other team leaders included Ashley Zifer with 8 points serving, Morgan Cole with 20 assists, Ellie Jackson with 9 digs, and Cami Nau who also had 1 block.

The Lady Streaks were led by Hailey Poling who registered a match high 40 assists on offense and tied teammate Ally Journey with a team-high 10 digs. Ally Journey and Hayley Journey both led the serving attack with 3 aces a piece. Emily Lippe was the top hitter for the match with 15 kills and Olivia Miller also finished with a team-leading 2 blocks.
JV: Louisville 17-25-25, Lake 25-9-23
UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards will next travel to Carrollton to take on the Warriors on Tuesday, August 29. JV begins at 5:00 PM and Varsity will follow at 6:00 PM from the Black Hole.
