The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team fell to the visiting Lake Blue Streaks 14-4 Monday Evening at Louisville Leopards Stadium. With the loss, Louisville drops to 2-7 on the season.

English Leads Louisville With 2 Goals

Senior Camryn English scored a pair of goals to lead the Lady Leopards. Other Louisville goal scorers included junior Chloe Shadle and senior Amanda Vesely.


Lake Scores 8 Straight Goals to Take Commanding Lead

Louisville City School District Levy 2021 - Issue 13 AdThe Lady Leopards got on the scoreboard first, but the Lady Streaks retaliated with 8 straight goals. Lake would take a 9-2 lead into the half.

The Blue Streaks scored the first goal of the second half before the Leopards netted the next two scores to cut the deficit to 10-4. However, Lake would score 4 unanswered goals the rest of the way to earn the double digit victory.


Labbe Leads Lady Blue Streaks with 5 Goals

The Blue Streaks (9-5) were led by Emma Labbe who scored a game-high 5 goals to go along with an assist. Ava Miller also finished with a hat trick and a pair of assists.

Avery Neidert led Lake in the circle with 5 draw controls and scored pair of goals. Izzy Nehlen scored 2 goals and added an assist. Mia Bloom and Liv Windham also found the back of the net for the Lady Streaks. Bloom matched Miller with a team best 2 assists as well.


Jennings Leads Lake on Defense

Lake caused 13 turnovers and recorded 3 interceptions on defense. Aisley Jennings led the Blue Streaks defensively with 3 turnovers caused and an interception. In goal, Nina Fierro finished with 3 saves.

Louisville Vs. Lake Girls Lacrosse Series

The Leopards have played the Blue Streaks more than any other opponent in their five year history as a team. Lake has now won the past 3 matchups in the series, but Louisville still leads the all-time series 7-3 overall and holds a 4-1 mark in games played at home in the series.

The Lady Leopards are now 0-3 against Federal League foes this season and 0-3 in games played at home.
