Louisville 75, Alliance 26

Twelve different Lady Leopards scored during a 75-26 rout of the Alliance Aviators at Harry Fails Gymnasium Saturday afternoon.  Brianna Libertore led all scorers with 11, Hannah Lemmon put in 10, and Mackenzie Storlie also added 9.

Louisville scored the first 16 points of the contest and led 27-4 at the end of the first quarter.  Alliance would only manage to score 25 points for the game as the Leopards defense forced 21 Aviators turnovers.

The Lady Leps hit 11 of 12 shots from the field in the opening period alone including three-pointers from Molly Brown and Libertore.  The Aviators only got off a total of five shot attempts for the quarter.  Louisville would end up shooting 56% for the game verses Alliance’s 25%.  Catelyn Radalia and Brown also contributed 8 points in the game.

Coach Garee McCully spread out the playing time in using the entire roster throughout the game.  Amazingly, no player had more than two points in the second period as Louisville outscored Alliance 16-4 to take a 43-8 lead into the break.

Both teams got a little sloppy in a third quarter that favored Louisville 11-9.  However, the Leopards backups and JV players made up for it by adding 21 more points to their total in the fourth.

The end of the game marked the midway point of the season as Louisville improved to 7-3 and kept pace in the NBC tallying their record to 5-1 in the conference.  Alliance is still winless at 0-10 and the loss extends their losing streak to 32 consecutive games with their last win dating back to February 15, 2010 when they beat Akron Springfield 66-47.
