My Fit Life Personal Trainer AdThe #17 seed Louisville Leopards Varsity Volleyball Team swept the visiting #28 seed Kent Roosevelt Rough Riders 25-19, 25-15, 25-21 in the DI Northeast 2 Sectional Semifinals Wednesday Evening at Louisville High School. With their 8th consecutive victory, Louisville improves to 14-8 on the season. They advance to play at #16 seed GlenOak in the DI Northeast 2 Sectional Finals on Saturday, October 24 at 4:00 PM.

Senior Paige Cole led the Lady Leopards with a team-high 15 kills on offense and a a team leading 18 digs on defense. Cole was also Louisville’s leading server with 16 service points and 3 aces.

Samantha's Grill AdSeniors Amanda Clark and Lauren Siegfried  finished with 15 assists each. Siegfried also threw down 9 kills and junior Kendal Loy finished with a team best 3 blocks.

Louisville is now 4-0 against Kent Roosevelt all-time dating back to 1986 from our known records. The win snaps the Lady Leopards three match losing streak in tournament play. This is the first time the Lady Leopards have won in the postseason since defeating Marietta in a five set DI Uniontown Sectional Semifinal in 2017 at Lake.

Louisville is now 13-13 in the tournament since moving to Division I in 2007.

UP NEXT: The #17 seed Lady Leopards will next travel to take on the #16 seed GlenOak Golden Eagles in the DI Northeast 2 Sectional Finals on Saturday, October 24 at 4:00 PM.
