Lady Leopards Avenge Earlier Loss to Austintown Fitch – Volleyball

The Louisville Leopards Varsity Volleyball Team took down the visiting Austintown Fitch Falcons in four sets 25-19, 17-25, 25-20, 25-22 Thursday Evening at Louisville High School. With their regular season finale victory, Louisville has now won 7 straight matches and heads into the tournament with a record of 13-8.
Senior Paige Cole finished with a match-high 18 kills on offense to go along with 16 digs on defense to lead the Lady Leopards. According to maxpreps.com, Cole is now 4th in the state (all divisions) in kills this season with 432 and stands alone in 1st in Division I.

Junior Kendal Loy was Louisville’s top server with 13 service points to go along with 10 kills. Senior Lauren Siegfried also recorded a team-high 21 assists and senior Sydney Bast led the Leopards on defense with a match leading 17 digs.
The Lady Falcons were led by Alyssa Leskovac who finished with a team leading 13 kills and 15 digs. Emma Bartlett setup the Austintown offense with a match-high 37 assists and also provided their defense with 13 digs. Cate Mcguire also finished with 5 blocks on defense and recorded 6 kills on offense for Fitch.
Three Northeast Volleyball Districts combined this year for voting on seeds. To put Thursday’s win in perspective, he Falcons were voted the #4 seed out of 38 teams in the super district voting and the Lady Leopards were voted the #17 seed.
