Louisville Strikes First, Hoover Answers in 1-1 Scrimmage Draw – Girls Soccer

The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Soccer Team played to a 1-1 draw with the visiting North Canton Hoover Vikings in a preseason scrimmage Saturday night at Louisville Leopards Stadium. With the tie, Louisville moves to 2-0-1 this preseason.

Lint Puts Leopards in Front Before Vikings Answer
After a scoreless opening half, Louisville wasted little time breaking the deadlock after the intermission. Reese Riley fired a shot from the right side of the box that was deflected by the Hoover goalkeeper. Kasey Lint was in perfect position to collect the rebound behind the keeper and, in one motion, knocked it into the back of the net to give the Leopards a 1-0 lead just over a minute into the second half.
Hoover answered just over six minutes later after a misplayed ball in the Louisville back third created a scoring opportunity for the Vikings. They capitalized to even the match at 1-1.
Neither side would find the go-ahead goal the rest of the way as the preseason matchup finished in a 1-1 draw.
UP NEXT: The Louisville Leopards Girls Soccer Team will next host the Revere Minutemen in their final scrimmage on Monday, August 10. Match will begin at 7:00 PM from Louisville Leopards Stadium.
