Louisville Caps Unbeaten Preseason With 2-2 Draw Against Revere – Girls Soccer

The Louisville Leopards Girls Soccer Team played to a 2-2 draw with the visiting Revere Minutemen in their final preseason scrimmage Monday evening at Louisville Leopards Stadium. Louisville built a 2-0 halftime lead before Revere answered with two second-half goals. With the draw, the Lady Leopards finish the preseason unbeaten at 2-0-2.

Lint and Seitz Build 2-0 Leopard Cushion
Louisville grabbed control early behind goals from Kasey Lint and Ava Seitz. Lint opened the scoring less than four minutes into the contest, finishing off an assist from Reese Riley to give the Lady Leopards a 1-0 advantage with 36:15 remaining in the first half.
Lint then helped set up Louisville’s second goal midway through the opening half. She connected with Seitz, who found the back of the net with 19:07 remaining to extend the Leopard lead to 2-0.
Louisville carried that two-goal advantage into halftime.
Revere Rallies in Second Half to Force Draw
The Minutemen battled back after the break behind a pair of goals from Revere’s #12. The first came just over five minutes into the second half to cut Louisville’s lead to 2-1.
Revere’s #12 struck again with 22:50 remaining, scoring unassisted to knot the contest at 2-2.
Neither team was able to break the tie the rest of the way as Louisville closed out its preseason with a 2-2 draw.
UP NEXT: The Louisville Leopards Girls Soccer Team will next host the Medina Buckeyes Bucks in their season opener on Saturday, August 15. Game time is set for 7:00 PM from Louisville Leopards Stadium.
