Zander Triplett went 2-for-4 and scored the winning run on Jake Beard’s walk-off sacrifice fly as the Leopards defeated the visiting Vikings 7-6. Luke Seaman also went 2-for-3 and Cody Zahler smashed a triple as LHS improved to 12-8.
Paxton Laughlin, Xavier Pollard, Liam Montgomery, Kaiden Barker, Aric Criss, Micah Bricker, and Jakeb Beard all won sectional titles as the Leopards claimed their 8th sectional title in 9 seasons. All 14 LHS wrestlers placed and 12 qualified for districts.
Micah Bricker recorded a pin in each dual as the #3 Leopards dominated the #6 Vikings 49-19 before falling to the host #2 Bees 51-27 at the DI Hoover Regional Duals. Xavier Pollard, Kaiden Barker, and Mikhail Montgomery also won bouts in each dual for Louisville.
Cohen Rogers scored a game-high 21 and Cayden Balcomb scored 18, but the Leopards fell to the host Vikings 56-51. Drake Wilson also scored 7 points as Louisville dropped to 6-5.
Owen Wilson ran for a touchdown and Gabe Regimbal made a late touchdown catch from Gabe Stoffer in the Leopards’ 31-13 loss the visiting Vikings. Quin Burick also had 4 catches for 73 yards as Louisville dropped to 4-1.
Kylah Meyer placed 5th and Amelie Anderson took 8th as the Louisville Girls took 8th in a 21-team field. Rounding out the Lady Leopards top five were Madelynn Bailey, Stella Blommel, and Izzy Babock.
Jake Beard, Max Roberts, and Luke Seaman hit three straight RBI singles to give the Leopards an early 3-1 lead, but the host Vikings came from behind to win 4-3. Louisville is now 11-14 on the season.
Brayden Gross scored a team-high 21 points to lead the Leopards in their 66-56 loss to the visiting Vikings. Beau Siegfried also scored 12 and Ashton Marshall added 9 as LHS fell to 13-5.
Tate Aljancic threw for 221 yards and touchdowns to Ashton Marshall & Austin Wade to lead the Leopards in their 23-16 loss to the host Vikings. Owen DiMarzio also finished with 102 yards of offense as LHS dropped to 2-3.
Louisville and North Canton Hoover played to a scoreless 0-0 tie Wednesday night at Louisville Leopards Stadium. This was the 10th scoreless draw in Lady Leopards Soccer history as they are now an even 1-1-1 on the season.
