Girls Tennis Defeats Previously Unbeaten Canton South

The Louisville Lady Leopards Girls Tennis Team handed the host Canton South Wildcats their first loss of the season by the count of 3-2. With the win, Louisville is now 2-3 overall and 1-0 in conference play.
The Leopards Kayla Pukys returned to pick up a 6-2, 6-1 straight set victory in #1 Singles. Natalie Richards also earned a straight set 6-2, 6-2 win in #3 Singles.
After a close 7-5 win in the first set of #1 Doubles, the Louisville Duo of Caitlin Kerzan & Alexis Pochubay took the second set 6-4 to claim the match & deciding third point.
Despite some closely contested matches in the recent history of the series, the Lady Leopards have now defeated the Lady Wildcats in 11 consecutive meetings. Louisville leads now leads the all-time series 41-13 and has won 48 straight NBC matches overall.
Canton South was 7-0 coming into the match, previously outscoring their opposition 33-2 in those meetings.
