Girls Soccer Draws 7th Seed, Sectional At Fitch Oct. 19

The Louisville Leopards drew the 7th Seed at the DI Austintown District Tournament Draw Sunday. They will travel to Austintown Fitch to face the 3rd Seeded Falcons on Monday, October 19 in the Sectional Semifinals.

The Leopard are currently 6-7-2 on the season and the Falcons are currently 10-4-1 on the year. Louisville and Fitch share two common opponents in Green and North Canton Hoover. The Leopards fell at Hoover 1-0 on August 26 and also fell at Green 4-0 on September 12. The Falcons lost their opener at Green 1-0 on August 22 and also tied North Canton 2-2 at home on September 21.

Louisville and Austintown Fitch have only played each other one other time in the past. The Falcons defeated the Leopards 5-1 in the DI Austintown Sectional Final held at Canfield on October 22, 2011. If Louisville can pull the upset they would then hit the road to face 6th seeded GlenOak on Thursday, October 22 at 7:00 PM in the DI Austintown Sectional Final. The Leopards fell to the Golden Eagles in the DI Austintown Sectional Final 2-1 at Louisville Leopards Stadium last season. Louisville is 8-4-3 against GlenOak all-time and holds a 2-1 edge over the Golden Eagles in the playoffs.
