Girls Golf Wins Lady Tiger Invitational at Sable Creek

Sierra Townsend and Abby Beaver Lady Tiger Invitational 1st Team

The Louisville Leopards Girls Golf Team placed 1st out of 18 teams at the Lake Center Lady Tiger Louisville Ohio Leopards Athletics Dark Navy Blue Shirt Fall 2016 - Beatty's SportsInvitational. The Lady Leopards shot 354 as a team at Sable Creek Golf Course Friday to earn the top spot.

Sierra Townsend took second place individually for the tournament in leading Louisville with a school record score of 72. The performance eclipsed the Lady Leopards 18-hole individual mark previously held by Maggie Reiman’s who shot a 76 at Turkeyfoot in the 2010 Sectional Tournament.

Abby Beaver also tied for fifth individually after carding an 81. Both Leopard Golfers made the tournament 1st team.

Alexis Beaver also shot a 98 and Jess Risher finished with a score of 103 to round out Louisville’s Leopard Nation $5 Challengescoring. Also in the varsity lineup, Sara Centore also shot 108 for the day and Karli Reddinger shot a 111 in her first start of the season.

The Leopards finished 8 strokes ahead of the second place Lake Blue Streaks who shot 362 for the day. St. Vincent-St. Mary (366) would place third, fellow conference foe Marlington (368) would take fourth, and Perry (371) finished fifth.
