Louisville Places 2nd at George Valentine Invitational After Tie-Breaker – Girls Golf

The Louisville Leopards Girls Golf Team competed at the George Valentine Invitational at Brookside Golf Course in Ashland Monday. The Lady Leopards shot 325 and won a 5th card tie-breaker with the host Arrows to claim second place out of 18 teams.
Louisville was led by Erin Strouse who shot a team low 78. Abby Davis and Madison Gruber both followed by tallying 82 each. Katie Bice also carded an 83 to round out the Lady Leopards team total at 325.
Louisville’s top four scores tied host Ashland’s top four tallies resulting in a 5th card tie-breaker to decide it. Alexis Ralston’s 84 easily beat the opposition’s 5th score of 99 to allow the Lady Leopards to claim second place as a team.
Other Louisville participants included Lauren L’Amoreaux who shot 100 and Devann Hoffman who shot 109.
The Tusky Valley Trojans won the tournament with a team score of 320. The host Ashland Arrows took third place and the Jackson Polar Bears finished in fourth place with a team total of 333.
UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards will next host the Fairless Falcons on Wednesday, August 19. Tee-time is set for 4:00 PM from Pleasant View Golf Club.
