Louisville Takes 3rd at Elms Sectional Preview – Girls Golf

The Louisville Leopards Girls Golf Team competed at the Elms Sectional Preview Thursday at The Elms Country Club. Louisville shot 331 as a team which earned them 3rd place out of the 9 schools that make up the sectional.
Ralston and Strouse Finish in Top 10
Senior Alexis Ralston finished 5th individually with a team low score of 75 to lead the Lady Leopards.
Fellow seniors Erin Strouse and Abby Davis also finished in the top quarter of the 44 individual golfers that competed. Strouse tallied an 80 to tie for 7th and Davis shot 83 to tie for 11th for Louisville.
Sophomore Peyton Biery was the Leopards final scorer after carding a 93 to take 21st place individually. Senior Lauren L’Amoreaux also shot 96 to take 25th.

Green and Jackson Finish Ahead of Louisville
Louisville was only bested by team champion Green who shot 312 and team runner-up Jackson who finished with a total of 322. The Lady Leopards finished 21 strokes ahead of the Wooster Generals who took fourth with a team tally of 352.
The Lady Bulldogs were led by senior medalist Emily Liptak who finished 5 under par with 67, junior Ava Pulley who also shot 73 to take 4th, and senior Samantha DeMuesy who finished with 76 in taking 6th.
GlenOak senior Madison Reemsnyder also shot 68 in taking 2nd and senior Avery Wright placed 3rd with 70 to round out the top individual scores.

UP NEXT:The Lady Leopards will next hit the road to challenge the Dover Tornadoes on Friday, August 13. Tee-time is set for 4:45 PM from Zoar Golf Club.
