Jackson Kandel blasted a 2-run homer to give Baseball the lead, but the Lady Leopards rallied with 3 in the seventh to take the second annual Battle of the Sexes Softball Game 4-3. Sarah Cantley also hit a walk-off single and struck out 13.

Louisville Lays NBC to Rest with 10th Straight Title – Softball

Teagan Rice batted 3-for-5 with 4 RBIs and Kaycee Ollis hit 2 triples and drove in 3 runs as Louisville won at Carrollton 9-1 to clinch their 10th straight NBC Championship. Sarah Cantley also struck out 10 as the Lady Leopards finished tied for their best record in team history at 24-2.

Leopards Fall to Panthers 9-0, Finish as District Runner-Up – Softball

The top seed Louisville Leopards were shutout by the 2nd Seed Perry Panthers 9-0 in the DI Massillon District Championship game Thursday. Louisville is now 22-2 on the season and finishes as the District Runner-Up for the first time since 2013.

Alex Fankhauser hit a walk-off Grand Slam in the last of the seventh to lift the top seeded Louisville past #4 Seed Lake 5-2 in the DI Massillon District Semifinals. Sarah Cantley also struck out 10 and Shae Thomas drove in an earlier run as the Lady Leopards advanced to their first District Title game since 2013.

Zuppe’s Extra Inning Walk-Off Sends Leopards to 1st District Championship Since 2009 – Baseball

Bryce Zuppe hit a 2-out walk-off single in the bottom of the 9th as #2 Seed Louisville rallied from a 3-run deficit to defeat #6 Norton 4-3 in the DII Akron District Semifinals at Canal Park. Dillon English also batted 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Leopards.

Leopards Erupt in the 12th at Canton South to Clinch NBC Outright – Baseball

Cam Lingle pitched 5 scoreless inning in relief and Davis Burick hit a Grand Slam as part of a 9-run 12th inning as Louisville won 18-9 at Canton South to claim the NBC Outright for the first time since 2011. Bryce Zuppe also drove in 6 runs and scored 4 as LHS finished 13-1 in the NBC.

Louisville rallied back from a 3-run deficit to down visiting West Branch 5-3 to clinch a share of the NBC. Andrew Gray pitched a complete game and struck out 10 and Cam Lingle batted 2-for-3 with the go-ahead double in the sixth as LHS beat the Warriors for the first time since 2014.

Sarah Cantley hit a go-ahead 2-run homer and struck out 8 in the circle to lead #1 seed Louisville in a 4-3 comeback win over #9 seed Jackson in the DI Massillon Sectional Finals. Ellie Jackson, Sydney McKeever, and Teagan Rice all had 2 hits each for the 21-1 Lady Leopards.

Louisville Outslugs Northwest 11-5 in Sectional Final – Baseball

Bryce Zuppe batted 3-for-5 with a 2-run triple as the Leopards knocked off the Indians 11-5 in the DII Akron Sectional Finals to advance to Canal Park. Caleb Prasco and Jackson Kandel each had 2 hits and Jack Davis also hit a 2-run triple as LHS improved to 19-7.

Cantley Tosses Second Consecutive No-Hitter as Leopards Mercy South – Softball

Sarah Cantley threw her second straight no-hitter and tied her own team record with 14 strikeouts for a 5-inning game as the Leopards run-ruled the Wildcats 10-0. Cantley and Teagan Rice also homered and Kaycee Ollis went 4-for-4 with 3 doubles as LHS improved to 20-1.
