The Louisville Leopards Varsity Softball Team saw a late lead slip away as the host Conotton Valley Rockets rallied in the seventh inning to edge Louisville 4-3 Tuesday evening at Conotton Valley High School. With the loss, the Lady Leopards drop to 10-2 on the season.

West Main Vet Clinic AdLouisville Varsity Leopards fell to Conotton Valley Varsity Rockets 4-3 on Tuesday on the final play of the game. The game was tied at three in the bottom of the seventh when Emma Karns was struck by a pitch, driving in a run.

Louisville Varsity Leopards opened the scoring in the first after Katelynn Miller singled, scoring one run.

Gionino's Pizzeria Oakwood - Mobile AdA home run to left field by Maddison Kelley gave Conotton Valley Varsity Rockets the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the first.

Addy Campbell homered to left field on a full count, which helped Louisville Varsity Leopards tie the game at two in the top of the fourth.

A solo home run to center field by Leah Claugus gave Louisville Varsity Leopards the lead, 3-2, in the top of the fifth.

In the bottom of the seventh inning, Conotton Valley Varsity Rockets went back into the lead after Delilah Williams doubled down the left field line, and Karns was struck by a pitch, each scoring one run.

My Fit Life Personal Trainer Side AdTaylor Schneider stepped in the circle first for Louisville Varsity Leopards. The hurler gave up six hits and four runs over six and two-thirds innings, striking out eight and walking seven. Kelley led things off in the circle for Conotton Valley Varsity Rockets. The starter gave up five hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out seven and walking one.

Claugus led Louisville Varsity Leopards with two hits in three at bats from the leadoff position. Miller, Campbell, and Claugus each drove in one run for Louisville Varsity Leopards.

Kelley provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Conotton Valley Varsity Rockets with two runs batted in. The pitcher went 1-for-1 on the day. Brooklyn Kelley led Conotton Valley Varsity Rockets with three hits in three at bats from the leadoff position. Kelley led Conotton Valley Varsity Rockets with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, amassing seven walks for the game. Conotton Valley Varsity Rockets were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Williams had the most chances in the field with nine.

Louisville Varsity Leopards play at home on Friday against Ellet Varsity Lady Orange in their next game.
