Lint No-Hits Lady Leopards in 2-1 Loss to Top-Ranked Tornadoes – Softball

The Louisville Leopards Varsity Softball Team was doubled up by the top-ranked, undefeated defending Division III champion Dover Tornadoes 2-1 on a brisk Saturday at Dover City Park.

Saturday’s game against Dover Varsity Tornadoes 2026 was a heartbreaker for Louisville Varsity Leopards, as they lost the lead late in a 2-1 defeat. The game was tied at one in the bottom of the sixth when Ariana Immel was struck by a pitch, driving in a run.
Both teams were strong in the circle. Dover Varsity Tornadoes 2026 pitchers struck out 10, while Louisville Varsity Leopards sat down two.
Louisville Varsity Leopards got on the board in the sixth inning after Mara Mayle grounded out, scoring one run.
Dover Varsity Tornadoes 2026 took the lead in the bottom of the sixth inning after Alli Hupp singled to the left side of the infield, and Immel was struck by a pitch, each scoring one run.
Katelynn Miller took the loss for Louisville Varsity Leopards. The pitcher went one inning, surrendering two runs on two hits, striking out none and walking none. Taylor Schneider led things off in the circle for Louisville Varsity Leopards. The hurler surrendered one hit and zero runs over five innings, striking out two and walking none. Abby Lint started the game for Dover Varsity Tornadoes 2026. The starter allowed zero hits and one run over seven innings, striking out 10 and walking two.
Mara Mayle led Louisville Varsity Leopards with one run batted in. Kaitlin Twinem stole two bases.
Chera Schmidt, Madi Bantum, and Hupp each collected one hit for Dover Varsity Tornadoes 2026. Hupp went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Dover Varsity Tornadoes 2026 didn’t commit a single error in the field. Bantum had the most chances in the field with 11.
