The Louisville Leopards Varsity Softball Team rallied from an early deficit to defeat the Division IV No. 5-ranked Lakeview Bulldogs 6-4 Saturday afternoon at West Main Vet Clinic Field. With the victory, Louisville evens its mark at 8-8 following

Leah Claugus collected three hits in four at bats, as Louisville Varsity Leopards defeated Lakeview Varsity Bulldogs 6-4 on Saturday. Claugus singled in the first inning, singled in the third inning, and singled in the fourth inning.

Lakeview Varsity Bulldogs got on the board in the top of the first inning after Mackenzie Stowe doubled, scoring one run, and Isabella Isenberg homered to left field, scoring two runs.

My Fit Life Personal Trainer Side AdLouisville Varsity Leopards tied the game in the bottom of the third thanks to a single by Anna Sirohman, and a sacrifice fly by Bailee Griffith.

Louisville Varsity Leopards captured the lead, 6-3, in the bottom of the fourth after Lilly Seaman singled down the left field line, Katelynn Miller singled down the right field line, and Sirohman doubled down the right field line, each scoring one run.

West Main Vet Clinic AdTaylor Schneider earned the win for Louisville Varsity Leopards. The pitcher surrendered five hits and one run over three innings, striking out two and walking one. Shae O’Neill stepped in the circle first for Louisville Varsity Leopards. The left-handed pitcher allowed five hits and three runs over two innings, striking out three and walking none. Isenberg led things off in the circle for Lakeview Varsity Bulldogs. The pitcher surrendered 10 hits and six runs over six innings, striking out eight and walking one. Miller collected the save.

Louisville Varsity Leopards tallied 10 hits in the game. Griffith and Sirohman were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for Louisville Varsity Leopards. Miller collected two hits for Louisville Varsity Leopards in four at bats. Claugus stole two bases. Louisville Varsity Leopards turned one double play in the game.

The cleanup hitter went 1-for-2 on the day. Ava Neilan and Rylee Barnot each collected three hits for Lakeview Varsity Bulldogs. Stowe collected two hits for Lakeview Varsity Bulldogs in four at bats. Lakeview Varsity Bulldogs didn’t commit a single error in the field. Stowe had the most chances in the field with eight.

Payton Hamilton collected three hits in four at bats, as Louisville Junior Varsity Leopards defeated Lakeview 10-0 on Saturday. Hamilton singled in the second inning, singled in the fourth inning, and singled in the fifth inning.

A ground out by Hamilton put Louisville Junior Varsity Leopards on the board in the bottom of the first.

A single by Hamilton, and an error helped Louisville Junior Varsity Leopards extend their early lead in the second.

Louisville Junior Varsity Leopards added two runs in the third after Ayverie Meister singled to center field.

Kylin Thorn earned the win for Louisville Junior Varsity Leopards. The hurler gave up one hit and zero runs over five innings, striking out six and walking none. Madison Tsai took the loss for Lakeview. The hurler went four and two-thirds innings, giving up 10 runs (five earned) on nine hits, striking out five and walking six.

Thorn, Hamilton, and Meister each drove in two runs for Louisville Junior Varsity Leopards. Hayden Kerr collected two hits for Louisville Junior Varsity Leopards in four at bats.
