The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team turned in a historic performance Monday evening, blanking the host Medina Buckeye Bucks 22-0 for their second shutout win over Buckeye this season. Louisville matched the program record for goals in a game, set a new mark for largest margin of victory, and improved to 4-2 on the season with the dominant road win.
Babcock Breaks School Record with 10 Goals
Izzy Babcock delivered the biggest individual scoring performance in program history, erupting for a school-record 10 goals in the victory. Her 10-goal night broke the previous Louisville single-game record of 9 goals, a mark Alexa Oberster set twice during the 2017 season.
Oberster first scored 9 goals in an 18-4 home win over St. Vincent-St. Mary on April 13, 2017. She matched that total again less than a month later in a 20-3 road win at Poland Seminary on May 9, 2017. Babcock now stands alone atop the Louisville record book after reaching double digits against the Bucks.
The record-setting night came in fitting fashion during one of the most explosive offensive games the Lady Leopards have ever produced. Louisville tied its team record with 22 goals, and Babcock accounted for nearly half of that total herself.
Rukavina Records Hat Trick as Leopards Get Balanced Support
Babcock’s milestone performance headlined a well-rounded Louisville attack that saw eight different Leopards contribute at least one point. Kloey Rukavina added a hat trick with 3 goals. Grace Diller scored 2 goals and dished out a team-high 4 assists. Claire Genet also posted a big all-around game with 2 goals and 3 assists.
Natalie Warner found the cage twice and added an assist, while Gianna Pentito chipped in a goal and 2 assists. Kendra Balestra and Abby Demos each scored once, and Delaney Black contributed 2 assists to help fuel the offensive outburst.
Lady Leopards Tie Goals Record and Set New Margin Mark
Monday’s win matched the highest-scoring output in Louisville Girls Lacrosse history. The Lady Leopards also scored 22 goals in a 22-1 home win over Southeast on May 11, 2024. But this time Louisville made even more history by posting a 22-goal margin of victory, the largest in program history.
That new record breaks the previous best margin of 21 goals, which Louisville achieved twice: first in a 21-0 shutout at Boardman on March 17, 2018, and again in the 22-1 Senior Night win over Southeast in 2024.
This is the sixth time the Lady Leopards have scored 20 ore more goals in a game.

Sixth Shutout in Program History
The victory also completed a two-game season sweep of Medina Buckeye. Louisville opened the 2026 campaign with a 20-0 shutout of the Bucks at Louisville Leopards Stadium on March 25. In that season opener, Abby Demos scored 4 goals and four other Leopards recorded hat tricks as Louisville rolled to its fifth shutout in team history. Monday’s 22-0 road win was even more emphatic, giving the Lady Leopards their sixth shutout and another place in the record book.

Louisville’s six shutouts now include three at home, two on the road, and one designated home tournament game played at Mount Union Stadium during turf renovations.
The 2026 Lady Leopards are just the second team in program history to record a shutout, let alone multiple shutouts in the same season. The 2018 team had the other four.
