The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Soccer Team fell on the road 4-1 to the host GlenOak Golden Eagles Wednesday night at Bob Commings Field. The matchup was part of Kick-for-a-Cure Night, supporting cancer awareness. With the loss, Louisville finishes the regular season with a record of 8-6-2.

Kruse Late Second-Half Goal Breaks Shutout

My Fit Life Personal Trainer Side AdThe Golden Eagles scored twice in the final 10:36 of the second half to take a 2-0 lead into the break. GlenOak added another goal in the 62nd minute to extend their lead to 3-0.

Gianna Kruse scored the Lady Leopards’ lone goal with 12:34 remaining in the second half to make the score 3-1. Emily Pauli delivered the assist on the play.

Corey Street for Mayor AdThe Golden Eagles added a final goal with 5:39 remaining to up their lead to 4-1.

GlenOak out-shot Louisville 11-5 and held a 7-2 advantage in corner kicks for the game. The Golden Eagles played a tough schedule prior to Wednesday’s contest being shutout a combined 10–0 during a 4-game losing streak. GlenOak is now 8-6-1 on the season following the victory.


Leopards Vs. Golden Eagles Girls Soccer Series

Gorgas Street Horror 2025 AdThe Lady Leopards have now dropped their last six matchups with the Golden Eagles. GlenOak has taken 9 of the last 10 meetings in the series overall with a 1-1 tie in 2019 being the lone exception. 

Louisville is now 9-13-4 against the Golden Eagles all-time, which includes a 3-6-3 record in games played at GlenOak. The Lady Leopards have not won at Bob Commings Field since a 6-1 victory over the Golden Eagles in 2014

UP NEXT: The #14 seed Louisville Leopards Girls Soccer Team will next take on the winner of the #30 Madison Blue Streaks at #10 Copley Indians on Tuesday, October 21 at 7:00 PM. If the Indians win, then Louisville will travel to Copley. If Madison wins, then the Lady Leopards will host the Blue Streaks at Louisville Leopards Stadium.
