The Lousiville Leopards Girls Varsity Basketball Team fell on the road to the undefeated Canfield Cardinals 60-40 Wednesday Night at John Cullen Court inside Canfield High School. With the loss, Louisville drops to 2-3 on the season.

Baker Scores Game High 15 to Lead Louisville

Romeo's Pizza Louisville, Ohio AdMaggie Baker hit 5 of the Leopards 7 three-pointers on the night to register a game high 15 points to lead Louisville. Courtney Barwick hit the other 2 three-pointers and also finished with 12 for the Lady Leopards.

Mabel Kiko and Karis Miglich also added 4 points each for Louisville. Ella Tillett also tacked on 3 and Ezela Manko rounded out the LHS scoring with 2 points.


Triveri Scores Team High 13 to Lead Canfield

Jenna Triveri scored 11 of her team high 13 points in the first half to lead Canfield. Aleen Barakat also hit 2 of her 4 three-pointers in the first quarter to help the Cardinals storm out to a 15-6 lead. Canfield would maintain their 9-point advantage in the second quarter in taking a 26-17 advantage at halftime.

Carly Fleming and Marina Koenig each hit a pair of three-pointers in the third quarter. Fleming would score all 10 of her points in the third period as the Cardinals opened up a commanding 48-25 lead at the end of the third quarter. Koenig would finish the night with 9 points and Lorieona Jannone also tacked on 7. 

Louisville edged Canfield 15-12 in the final stanza, but the Cardinals still cruised to victory. Canfield remains perfect on the season improving to 7-0 with the victory. .   . . 


Leopards Vs. Cardinals Girls Basketball Series

My Fit Life Personal Trainer Side AdThe Louisville-Canfield series is not an even 2-2 in their last four meeting overall. The Cardinals lead the all-time series 13-5 overall, which includes a 7-1 record when playing on their home court at Canfield.

Ellet Tillet scored the lone point for the Lady Leopards JV who fell to the host Lady Cardinals 18-1 in two quarters of action. With the loss, Louisville JV is now 0-4 on the season.

Laney Kleeh led Canfield with a game high 7 points and Makayla Brown added 5 for CHS.
