The Louisville Leopards Boys Varsity Soccer Team was edged by the host Perry Panthers 2-1 Saturday Afternoon at the Perry Track and Field Stadium. The loss snaps the Leopards 3-game winning streak as they drop to an even 6-6-2 on the year.

Burton Scores Leopards Lone Goal
Carter Burton opened the scoring by netting Louisville’s only goal of the game in the first half. The unassisted scored was Burton’s team best 16th goal of the season.
The Panthers answered with a goal of their own to knot the game at 1-1 by halftime. Perry scored a go-ahead goal and held the Leopards scoreless through the second half to earn the win.
The victory snapped the Panthers 4-game winless streak as they improved to 7-4-2 on the season.

Louisville has now dropped 6 of its last 8 meetings against Perry dating back to 2017. The Leopards trail the all-time series against the Panthers 4-8-2 overall, which includes a 3-4 record when playing at Perry in the series.

The Leopard Boys JV Team shutout the host Panthers 1-0 Saturday afternoon at the Perry Track and Field Stadium. With the victory, Louisville JV has now won 4 of their last 5 matches and improves to 7-4-3 on the year.
With less than 10 minutes to go in the game, Maddox Mayle broke the scoreless tie with a goal via an assist from Parker Daum.
The Leopards defense did the rest in holding the Panthers scoreless the rest of the way. Justin Keister and Mason Ivey combined for the shutout in goal for Louisville. Keister started the game and Ivey came in with 20 minutes remaining to finish off the clean sheet.
