The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Soccer Team put the finishing touch on a historic first season in the All-American Conference by shutting out the visiting Warren G. Harding Raiders 6-0 Monday night at Louisville Leopards Stadium. Senior Reese Riley scored four goals and added two assists, while senior Haile Folk contributed a goal and three assists as the Lady Leopards completed a perfect 10-0 sweep of the AAC.
Louisville has now won nine consecutive games to improve to 14-2 overall. The 14 regular-season victories tie the 2013 Lady Leopards for the most in program history, giving this year’s squad an opportunity to establish a new record when it hosts GlenOak on Wednesday.

Riley and Folk Combine to Build 3-0 Halftime Lead
Riley and Folk were involved in all three Louisville goals during the opening half.
The Lady Leopards broke through with 16:29 remaining when Riley threaded a pass between two Harding defenders to Folk near the top center of the penalty area. Folk got a touch on the ball and finished the opportunity to put Louisville ahead 1-0.
The duo reversed roles only 56 seconds later.
Folk delivered a perfectly placed lead pass to Riley, who stayed onside and used her speed to get behind the Raider defense. Riley absorbed contact from behind but maintained enough control to fire into the open right side of the net, doubling the Louisville lead to 2-0 with 15:33 left before halftime.
They connected again with 2:44 remaining. A Harding foul just outside the left side of the penalty area gave Folk a free kick, which she lofted toward the right side of the box. Riley rose to meet the service and headed the ball off a defender and then off the goalkeeper into the net to send the Lady Leopards into halftime with a 3-0 advantage.
Riley Completes Four-Goal Night
Louisville needed only 17 seconds after halftime to strike again.
Kasey Lint pushed a lead pass ahead to Riley, who gained possession and once again raced past the Harding defense. With the goalkeeper caught out of position, Riley calmly slid her shot into the left side of the net to complete the hat trick and extend the lead to 4-0.
Riley wasn’t finished.
Folk delivered the second of back-to-back Louisville corner kicks from the right side with 28:24 remaining. Riley was waiting on the opposite side of goal and headed the service back across into the right side of the net for her fourth goal of the evening.
The senior finished with four goals and two assists, raising her season totals to a team-leading 22 goals and 8 assists. Riley has now accumulated 52 points this season.
Folk finished the night with one goal and three assists, pushing her team-leading assist total to 14. Folk needs just one more assist to tie Sami Keefe’s 2015 team record of 15 assists in a single season.
Edgein Trades Goalkeeper Gloves for Goal
Louisville’s final goal came from an unlikely source.
With freshman Alivia Hartenstein taking over in goal for the second half, senior goalkeeper Tristyn Edgein moved into the field.
Lint started the scoring sequence with another strong lead pass to Riley, who accelerated past a defender to retrieve it near the top-right edge of the penalty area. Riley gained control and crossed into the middle of the box, where Edgein one-timed the ball into the right side of the net.
The goal was the first of Edgein’s varsity career and extended Louisville’s advantage to 6-0 with 16:17 remaining, invoking the running-clock mercy rule.
Already one of the most accomplished goalkeepers in program history, Edgein now also has a goal to go along with her two assists this season.
Edgein and Hartenstein Combine for Shutout
Louisville’s defense gave Warren G. Harding little room to operate throughout the night.
Edgein handled goalkeeping duties during the first half and made the Leopards’ lone save before moving into the field after halftime. Hartenstein took over between the posts for the final 40 minutes and helped finish off the clean sheet.
The pair combined for Louisville’s shutout as the Leopard defense kept the Raiders off the scoreboard for all 80 minutes.
Louisville Completes Historic Perfect AAC Season
Monday’s victory officially completed Louisville’s first journey through the All-American Conference with a flawless 10-0 record.
The Lady Leopards had already clinched the outright AAC championship following their dramatic 4-3 victory at Austintown Fitch, but Monday gave Louisville something even more significant — an undefeated and untied run through its entire league schedule.
It is only the second perfect conference season in Louisville Girls Soccer history and the fourth time the program has gone unbeaten in league play:
2012: 6-0-1 — NBC Champions
2013: 7-0-0 — NBC Champions
2016: 6-0-1 — NBC Co-Champions
2026: 10-0-0 — AAC Champions
Louisville’s first AAC crown is the fourth conference championship in program history and its first since sharing the Northeastern Buckeye Conference title with West Branch in 2016.
After the game, head coach Dale Mitchell distributed AAC championship shirts to the players as the team celebrated and posed for a championship photo on the field. The stadium scoreboard was changed to display 20:26 alongside 10-0, commemorating Louisville’s undefeated championship run through the conference.
Lady Leopards Tie Regular-Season Wins Record
The victory also continued Louisville’s assault on the program record book.
At 14-2, the Lady Leopards have matched the 2013 squad for the most regular-season victories in program history. That team finished the regular season 14-1-1 before ending the year with a 15-2-1 overall record.
Louisville will have an opportunity to stand alone with a school-record 15th regular-season victory when it hosts GlenOak on Wednesday.
The current nine-game winning streak also ties one of the longest runs in program history. The 2012 Lady Leopards won nine consecutive games during that season, while another nine-game regular-season streak stretched from the end of 2012 into Louisville’s 8-0 start to the 2013 campaign.
Louisville Sweeps Inaugural Series With Harding
Monday was only the second girls soccer meeting between Louisville and Warren G. Harding.
The Lady Leopards won both matchups convincingly, defeating the Raiders 8-0 at Mollenkopf Stadium on September 23 before completing the season sweep with Monday’s 6-0 home victory.
Louisville is now 2-0 all-time against Harding, with both victories coming in AAC play. The Lady Leopards have outscored the Raiders 14-0 across the two meetings and recorded a shutout in both contests.
