Volleyball Dominates at Lake Quad to Improve to 8-1

Paige Haren Louisville Leopards Volleyball 2015 Vs. Salem Quakers

The Louisville Leopards Varsity Volleyball Team went an undefeated 3-0 in a quad meet at Lake High School Saturday. With the victories, Louisville improves to 8-1 on the season.

Louisville 25-25, Crestwood 19-13

In their first match, Louisville downed Crestwood in straight sets 25-19, 25-13.

Savannah Miner led the Leopards in serving with 7 points and 1 ace. Kayla Cole also was Louisville’s
top hitter with 8 kills and Paige Haren finished with a team-high 30 assists.

On defense, Brynn Guist finished with a team-leading 10 digs and also recorded a block. Cole and Georgia Kiko also had blocks for the Lady Leopards.

JV: Louisville 25-25, Crestwood 22-20

Louisville 22-27-25, Lake 25-25-18

In their second match, the Leopards defeated the host Blue Streaks 22-25, 27-25, 25-18

Offensive Leaders for Louisville included Kayla as the top server with 12 points, Georgia Kiko as the top hitter with 14 points, and Paige Haren who tallied a team-leading 43 assists.

Emma Vacha led the defense with 18 digs. Brynn Guist also sent back 3 blocks.

Lake won the opening set 25-22. Louisville answered back by winning a nail-biting 27-25 second set. The Leopards then settled in to take the third and final set 25-18.

Louisville dominated their final match of the day in sweeping Kent Roosevelt 25-19, 25-9.

Kayla Cole led the Leopards with 10 points & 2 aces serving and also was the team’s top hitter with 9 kills.

Other leaders for Louisville included Brynn Guist with 2 blocks, Paige Haren with 20 assists, and Savannah Miner with 8 digs.
