Track Is Running Away with the NBC After Whooping Warriors

The Louisville boys and girls track teams remained undefeated in the NBC after Tuesdays’ meets, while also placing third at the Stark County Meet in Perry last Saturday.

The boys moved to 5-0 in the conference with an 89-39 thumping of West Branch. The boys track team remains in the driver’s seat in the conference and on pace to win their first ever NBC Title. The Leopards placed second in the Gilmour Invitational on April 16 only being eclipsed by Cleveland St. Ignatius. This past weekend Louisville finished tied with Marlington and Canton McKinley for third place in the Stark County Track and Field Championships. Massillon won the meet, while host Perry finished second.

The girls track team competed in a three-way meet against both West Branch and Carrollton yesterday. Louisville crushed former NBC-powerhouse West Branch 101-25 and also wacked the other Warriors for a 92-36 victory. The girls finished fifth in the Gilmour Invitational on April 16, before also finishing third in the Stark County Meet. North Canton Hoover won the Stark County meet for the second straight year, while host Perry once again took second.

NEXT UP: Both squads will have the weekend off due to Prom, before returning into action by traveling to Alliance to face the Aviators at 4:30 PM on Tuesday, May 3.
