Louisville Swimming Victorious in Home Opener
The Louisville Leopards Swim Team opened up the season Friday at H.P. Bishop Natatorium inside the Louisville YMCA. The Louisville Boys Team defeated the visiting St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish 58-42 to improve to 1-0. The Lady Leopards defeated the visiting Our Lady of the Elms Panthers 120-16 and the visiting St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish 120-4 to improve to 2-0.

The Louisville Boys team took home their first win on Friday against St Vincent-St Mary. All 5 boys on the team scored points. Mike Conway and Matt Conway each scored 16 points. Ty Hopkins and Bryce Puckett each scored 12 points and Jimmy Barnhart scored 2 points.
Mike Conway and Matt Conway took first in each of their individual events. Ty Hopkins scored a personal best time for the 400 Freestyle. Bryce Puckett claimed second place in the 200 Freestyle and the 100 Freestyle. Rounding out the Leopards scoring was Jimmy Barnhart who scored in the 50 and 100 Freestyle events.

The Louisville girls swim team began their season with a win over St Vincent-St Mary and Our Lady of the Elms on Friday evening. Katelyn Claugus set a school record in the 400 Freestyle with a time of 4.50.34.
Each swimmer scored for the girls team and contributed to their win. Leading the Leopards in scoring were Leah Collins, Anya Willett and Katelyn Claugus. The girls team claimed first place in 9 of 11 events.
