The Louisville Leopards Boys Golf Team fell to the visiting St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish 319-337 Friday in their season opener at Sleepy Hollow Golf Club. 

Junior Jack Mayle shot a team low 79 to lead Louisville. Rounding out the Leopards scoring were junior Zach Root 84, senior Sam Karcher 86, and junior Cole Miller 88.

Other varsity scores included senior Caleb Harsh who shot 90 and sophomore Michael Filipowicz who shot 93.

Jenny Can Cleaning AdPat Witschey was the match medalist leading St. Vincent-St. Mary with a match low 75. Other scorers for the Fighting Irish included H. Pumphrey 76, N. Wierzbicki 83, and A. Hayek 85.

This is the first known meeting between the two schools in boys golf.

UP NEXT: The Leopards will next compete at the Polar Bear Invitational on Monday, August 8. Tee-time is slated for 9:00 AM from Alliance Country Club.
