Gross Scores Game-High 20 for Leopards
Brayden Gross scored 11 of his game-high 20 points in the second half to lead the Leopards. Gross also hauled in a team-best 7 rebounds, tallied 2 steals, and registered a block.
Gross capped off his stellar night with a highlight-reel alley-oop dunk via point guard Beau Siegfried in the opening minute of the fourth quarter. The jam put the Leopards ahead 52-24 and they would expand their lead to as many as 31 midway through the final stanza. The alley-oop would also top off Siegfried’s 6 assist night.
Louisville Jumps Out to 10-0 Lead and Never Trails
Louisville stormed out of the gate to a commanding 10-0 lead and never looked back. Gross broke the ice with a pair of free throws just 16 seconds in. Siegfried followed with his first of two first quarter steal and scores to make it 4-0 Leopards. Tate Aljancic and Ashton Marshall followed with back-to-back three-pointers to make it 10-0 Louisville just 2:38 into the contest.
St. Edward scored five quick points to cut the Leopard lead in half, but Louisville still managed to take a commanding 19-10 lead into the second quarter. The Eagles narrowed the gap to 20-17 before a Devin Bailey three-ball sparked a 7-2 Leopard run to end the half.
Leading 28-19 at the start of the second half, Louisville outscored St. Edward 22-2 in the third quarter to take an eye-popping 50-21 lead into the fourth quarter.
Four Leopards Finish in Double Figures
Three other Leopards besides Gross finished in double figures. Aljancic drained 3 three-pointers and finished with 18 points. He spearheaded the Leopards’ surge with 9 points during their dominant 22-point third quarter.
Avery Andrejcik scored 8 of his 12 points in the fourth quarter. He hit two three-pointers on back-to-back possessions, both coming via set-up passes from Kolton Loy. Andrejcik’s second three opened up the Leopards largest advantage of the night at 65-34 with a little over four minutes left.
Bailey also hit a pair of three-pointers and reached double digits with 10. Siegfried tallied 4 and Loy tacked on 3. Siegfried also had a team best 3 steals and Ashton Marshall secured 4 rebounds.
Vlosicut Leads Eagles with Team-High 16

The trio of Marty McGlynn, Drew Yurcich, and Nate Yurcich added 3 each. Cole Arbogast rounded out the Eagle scoring with a fourth quarter basket as well.
