Softball Wins 5th Straight After Mystifying Magics

Louisville 7, Barberton 4
The Louisville Leopards Varsity Softball team downed the visiting Barberton Magics 7-4 Wednesday Evening at LHS. With their fifth straight win, Louisville improves to 12-6 on the year.
Lexi Givens went 3-for-3 with a run scored and 4 RBIs to lead the Lady Leopards. Savannah Miner also cracked a 2-run double and Peyton McKeever had an RBI single as part of Louisville’s 5-run first inning.
Kirsten Wharmby pitched a complete game and struck out 5 to lead the Leopards in the circle. With the win, she improves her record to 7-3 on the season.
The Magics were led by Riley Ries who went 2-for-4 with a 2-run homer. Kloee Cuckler and Macy Kaisk also finished with 2 hits a piece for Barberton who falls to 11-8.
This was the first ever meeting between these two squads.
