Meyer Wins Sandy Valley Invitational as Louisville Finishes 3rd – Girls Cross Country

The Louisville Leopards Girls Cross Country Team competed at the Sandy Valley Invitational Saturday Morning at Sandy Valley High School. Louisville finished with 91 total team points to claim third place out of seven teams in the Girls Large School 5000 Meter Run.

Meyer Captures 1st Place
Senior Kylah Meyer continued her dominant season by winning the Girls Varsity Large School Division at the Sandy Valley Invitational on Saturday. Meyer crossed the line in 18:23.43, nearly 35 seconds ahead of the next competitor, to earn her first victory of the year.
Anderson Finishes in Top 5
Junior Amelie Anderson also had a standout performance, taking 5th overall in 19:25.80. Together, Meyer and Anderson gave Louisville two runners inside the top five of a competitive race.
The Leopards’ scoring five was rounded out by junior Madelynn Bailey (22nd, 21:40.28), freshman Stella Blommel (40th, 23:01.88), and junior Elizabeth Babcock (41st, 23:05.14). Sophomore Camryn Cline (48th, 24:12.33), sophomore Abbriel Demos (59th, 25:17.21), sophomore Evelyn Kandel (67th, 25:54.68), and freshman Khali Miller (76th, 27:06.19) added depth to Louisville’s varsity lineup.
Minerva Takes Team Title
As a team, the Leopards finished 3rd overall with 91 points, trailing only champion Minerva (33) and runner-up Jackson (79) in the Large School Division. Louisville’s average time matched Jackson at 21:07, showcasing the Leopards’ depth in the front and mid-pack.
