The teams of Gretchen Groves & Sam Pukys, Alexis Isla & Sarah Robbins, and Ciara Antonacci & Hannah Lemmon all won their flights Saturday at the Louisville Doubles Classic. Louisville also beat Lake 3-2 on Monday to move to 8-1.
Nick Thomas placed 13th for the boys and Mackenzie Rankin took 16th for the girls. The Leopards Middle School teams swept the meet capturing 1st place in both boys & girls.
Ryan Lautner caught 2 of the Leopards 5 interceptions including one for a touchdown to lead the Leps defense. Walter Schrock, Connor Zwick, & Kyle Bast also scored touchdowns.
Dymonte Thomas ran for 285 yards and 4 touchdowns to lead the Marlington Dukes to a 34-24 win over the Louisville Leopards. Joey Duckworth connected with Alex Schooley for 2 of the Leopards scores.
Gretchen Groves won #1 singles without allowing her opponent to take a single set point, while the rest of the Lady Leopards also won in straight sets to move to 7-1, 4-0 on the year.
