Louisville Takes 16th at Division I State Meet – Boys Cross Country
Louisville – 329 (16th Out of 20)
The Louisville Leopards Boys Cross Country Team competed in the OHSAA Division I State Meet Saturday at National Trail Raceway in Hebron, Ohio. The Leopards finished with 329 total points to place 16th out of 20 state qualifying teams.
Louisville was led by Miklos Hendricks who placed 48th individually with a team best time of 16:53.2. Hendricks moved up 4 spots in the final split to finish 27th among team qualifying runners.
Rounding out the Leopards top five runners were Logan Ison (79th), Bobby Ganser (98th), Scott Gronow (135th), and Colby Adams (146th). Other Louisville runners included Sam Chlebeck (157th) and Sebastian Hendricks (180th) amongst a field of 186 state runners.
For the second straight year the Hudson Explorers were crowned the Division I Boys Team State Champions with a team score of 107. The Explorers have now won 3 state championships in program history (2001, 2017, 2018). Hudson finished 46 total places ahead of the second place Hillard Davision Wildcats (153 points) and 51 total places ahead of the Mason Comets (158 points). The Jackson Polar Bears also took 5th with 204 total places.
Conant Smith from the Middletown Middies was the DI Boys individual state champion with a time of 15:43.4. Ryan Adkins of the Twinsburg Tigers also placed second and Josh Hill from the Amherst Steele Comets took third.
