Oberster Ties Team Record with 7 Goals as Girls Lacrosse Rolls Lake

The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team rolled to a 13-5 victory over the visiting Lake Blue 
Streaks Thursday Evening at Louisville Leopards Stadium. With the victory, Louisville improves to 6-1 on the season.
Alexa Oberster tied a team record with 7 goals to lead the Lady Leopards. Oberster took the opening face-off straight to the net to get LHS on the board just 11 seconds into the contest. She went on to finish with 6 goals in the first half alone. Emily Hollifield also scored 7 goals in Louisville’s inaugural game at Lake back on April 2.
Liz Pugh also recorded a Hat Trick, Marissa Vick added a pair of goals, and Alexis Pochubay notched a goal to round out the rest of the Leopards scoring.
Louisville has now held their opponents to 5 goals or less in 6 out of their 7 games. Celia Keefe had 
several key saves in goal to lead the Leopard defense. Oberster, Lindsey Pugh, and Regan Thomas also forced two turnovers a piece for Louisville. Oberster also finished with a team-leading 4 groundballs and both Katie Hollifield & Keefe fielded 3 groundballs each.
The Blue Streaks (0-5) were led by Isabella Jennings who finished with a Hat Trick. Devan Shyjka also scored 2 goals and Abigail Starkey had an assist for Lake.
The Leopards are now 2-0 against the Blue Streaks all-time and have outscored them a combined 29-8 in those matches.
