The Louisville Leopards Boys Varsity Soccer Team defeated the visiting Norton Panthers 6-1 Thursday Night at Louisville Leopards Stadium. With the victory, Louisville improves to 2-1-1.

Burton Records 1st Half Hat Trick
With the match tied 1-1, Carter Burton scored three goals in a span of 3:30 to put the Leopards in complete command. Dominic Porter-Kovacich assisted on two of the goals, while Damien Lowder also notched an assist on Burton’s second score.
Burton’s hat trick now puts him at a team best 5 goals this season. Porter-Kovacich also leads the team in assists with 5 and Lowder has tallied 2 assists for the campaign.
Porter-Kovacich also found the back of the net 82 seconds after Burton’s onslaught was complete. Kadan Swope provided the assist on the goal and Louisville stormed into the half up 5-1.
Johnston Scores in Each Half
Nick Johnston also booted home a goal in each half. He opened the scoring with a goal in the sixth minute and scored the games final goal with 16:13 remaining to put the Leopards ahead 6-1.
Johnston has now scored in 3 of the 4 games played this season. He sits in second on the team with 4 goals scored.
Russell Gets Norton on the Board
Lincoln Russell scored the lone goal for Norton to tie the game in the 17th minute. Louisville would score five unanswered goals in response.
Leopard starting goalkeeper Giovanni Foradis kept the Panthers from doing any more damage for the remainder of the first half. With a 4-goal cushion, Foradis was lifted for Justin Keister who kept a clean sheet in the second half.
Norton is now 1-3-1 on the season following the loss.
Leopards Win Third Straight Over Panthers
The Leopards have now defeated the Panthers in each of the past three seasons. Louisville is 4-1 against Norton all-time dating back to their first meeting in 2004. This includes a 3-0 record when playing at home in the series and a 2-0 mark when playing at Louisville Leopards Stadium.

UP NEXT: The Leopards will next travel to take on the Dover Tornadoes on Thursday, September 5. JV will begin at 5:00 PM and Varsity will follow around 7:00 PM from the Dover Middle School Soccer Field.

The Leopards JV Team shutout the visiting Panthers 11-0. Louisville JV is now 3-1-1 on the season following the victory.
Maddox Mayle registered a hat trick to go along with an assist to lead the Leopards. Dom Collier and Drew Lindner also scored a pair of goals each for Louisville.
Brittian Basel scored a goal to go along with a team best 2 assists as well. Other goal scorers for the Leopards included Parker Daum, Jax Lindner, and Noah Papai.
Seven of the Leopards 11 goals came via assists. Also recording a single assist each were Papai, Branden Sanders, Brennan Schwab, and Evan Swope.
Mason Ivey and Justin Keister combined for the shutout in goal for LHS.
