Louisville avenged an earlier season loss with a 42-24 victory over the Beaver Local Beavers in the Regional Semifinals. The Leopards built a 25-6 lead in the Regional Final before the host Canfield Cardinals stormed back to win 33-31.
The Leopards massacred the Salem Quakers 75-4 in the Semifinals before earning a 40-25 victory over the host Alliance Aviators to claim the Division II, Sub-Region 12-A title and advance to the Regional Tournament. Louisville is now 6-2 on the season.
The Leopards scored the final 18 points of the contest to stun the 3-time defending champion Carrollton Warriors 33-28. Riley Brendle earned a key overtime win in the heavyweight match and Carter Mickley, Garett Lautzenheiser, & Ryan Jakubiak all won by pin.
Jax Leonard and Blake Robbins each won by pin to lead the Leopards to a 36-27 road victory against the Lions. Ryan Jakubiak and Garett Lautzenheiser also each won by technical fall for NBC unbeaten Louisville.
Louisville Wrestling defeated Marlington 52-24 in the NBC Opener Thursday at LHS. Winners by Pin included Garett Lautzenheiser, Ryan Jakubiak, Davin Rhoads, Carter Mickley, and Jax Leonard.
Max Hartline ran for 174 yards on the ground and scored 3 total touchdowns to lead the Leopards to a 38-21 victory over the host Warriors. Colton Jones also ran for a score and threw a touchdown pass to Bryce Zuppe.
Louisville defeated Canton South 54-11 on Senior Night to finish the season 12-3. Brock Mehl, Jesse Curlutu, Jimmy Leonard, Andy Graham, and Jax Leonard all earned pins for the Leopards.
