Louisville 36, Minerva 27
The Louisville Leopards Varsity Wrestling Team earned a 36-27 road victory over the host Minerva Lions Thursday Night at Minerva High School. With the victory, Louisville improves to 3-2 overall and remains unbeaten in the NBC at 3-0.
The Leopards continued their domination in the lighter weight classes and built a 20-3 advantage through the 138 match. The Lions rallied back on a 21-6 string of their own to cut the Louisville lead to 26-24 with three weight classes to go. The Leopards answered back as Zach Thatcher earned a convincing 14-1 major decision in the 195 match and Blake Robbins clinched the Leopard victory by pinning his opponent at the 4:08 mark of the 220 matchup.
Earlier, Jax Leonard (152) had the only other pin to help lead Louisville. Garett Lautzenheiser (106) and Ryan Jakubiak (113) each won by technical fall 17-2 to start off the competition for the Leopards. Davin Rhoads (126) also picked up a 17-5 major decision for Louisville. Other LHS players winning by decision included Carter Mickley (132) and Daniel Kennedy (138).

UP NEXT: The Leopards will next compete at the Top Gun Tournament held at Alliance High School on Friday, January 12 and Saturday, January 13. Then they will return home for an NBC showdown with the Carrollton Warriors on Thursday, January 18.
