Grove Appliance Alliance Ohio AdThe Louisville Leopards Varsity Wrestling Team earned a 52-24 victory over the visiting Marlington Dukes in their home opener Thursday Night at LHS. With the victory, Louisville improves to 1-2 overall and is now 1-0 in NBC competition.

The Leopards rolled through the lighter weight classes in earning 4 pins through their first 5 matchups. These winners by fall included Garett Lautzenheiser (106), Ryan Jakubiak (113), Davin Rhoads (126), and Carter Mickley (132).

The Leopards would never surrender their advantage the rest of the way. Jax Leonard answered a Dukes win by fall with a pin of his own to make it 35-12.

After that, Louisville picked up four more victories. Brent Paulus (170) earned victory by forfeit, Blake Robbins (220) won by technical fall 17-2, and both Zach Thatcher (195) and Riley Brendle (285) won by decision.

Middle School: Louisville 64, Marlington 24

Louisville Middle School opened up 2017 NBC Season with a win over the Marlington Dukes 64-24.

Winning for Leopards last night were Dylan Rhoads with a pin, Connor Novasel won by decision 7-0, Lacy Harvey won by pin, Josiah Walker won by pin, Will Telaroli won by Forfeit, Seth Anderson won by Forfeit, Justice Bolyard won by Forfeit, Clay Mitchell won by pin, Noah Peterson won by pin, Cameron Brazek won by decision 2-1, Caden Grimm Won by Major Decision 11-0, and Will Wipkey won 2 matches last night both by pin. Wrestling 3 hard periods last night and giving a great effort was Dylan Tripp.

Louisville Middle School wrestles at Lake on Saturday in the Lake Holiday Tournament. Good luck to the Middle School team.
