Morgan Cole captured first place individually and Cassidy Kiko took 9th to lead the Lady Leopards to a second place finish at the Malone Invitational. Sebastian Hendricks and Miklos Hendricks led the Boys to an 8th place finish.
Louisville went 5-0 at the Pirate Duals defeating Cuyahoga Falls 74-6, Girard 52-19, Massillon Jackson 40-17, Medina Buckeye 49-24, and host Ravenna Southeast 63-12.
Maddie Berkebile and Brianna Horton each headed in second half goals for the Lady Leopards who held on to edge the host Black Tigers 2-1. Jenny Hamsher also had an assist for Louisville.
Lizzy Mont scored a pair of goals and Rachel Baughman provided three assists to lead the Leopards past the Black Tigers 4-0 in a scrimmage Wednesday.
The Black Tigers scored the final 6 points of the contest to steal a 49-46 victory from visiting Louisville in the DI Boys Sectional Semifinal. Blake Hoover scored a game-high 22 points to lead the Leps.
The Louisville Leopards drew the 19th Seed in the DI Canton/Copley blended Boys Basketball District Tournament and will face the 7th Seeded Cuyahoga Falls Black Tigers on Wednesday, February 26 at 7:00 PM.
