Cuyahoga Falls scored the final 6 points of the contest to steal a 49-46 DI Canton Sectional Semifinal victory over visiting Louisville Wednesday. With the loss, the Leopards finish the season 12-10.

Blake Hoover dropped in a game-high 22 points and brought down a game-high 11 rebounds to lead Louisville. Drew Noble also scored 10 points and grabbed 7 boards and Jake Pukys added 8.

The Leopards rallied back from a 28-21 third quarter deficit. In the fourth quarter, a Jake Adams Beatty's Sports Leopard Winter Coat copythree-pointer put Louisville within 40-39. Soon after, Bryce Mathie went hard to the hole to tie the game at 43-43. The Leopards took their first lead of the second half with 2:32 remaining in the final quarter and after a pair of Noble free throws extended their lead to 46-43.

Noble then provided a block on the other end and Louisville had a chance to throw the final dagger. The turning point in the contest came on the next possession. The Leopards had a wide open break toward the hoop on the in-bound pass. It looked to be sure two points to put the Leopards up five with 1:24 left, but instead traveling was called.

The Black Tigers seized momentum and scored on their final three possessions. First Josh Ricker scored on a lay-in. Then Angelo Cugini hit  a pair of free throws to give Cuyahoga Falls a 47-46 lead with 47 seconds remaining. After another defensive stop, Ricker added 2 more free throws to give the Black Tigers a 49-46 lead with 19.9 left. Louisville could not convert their game-tying shot.

Cugini finished with a team-high 20 points and tallied 3 steals, Ricker poured in 13 points and provided 4 assists, and Tyler Adams also scored 9 to lead the Black Tigers. Cuyahoga Falls is now 16-7 on the season and will host Stow in a DI Sectional Championship Saturday.
