Lady Leopards Defeat Quakers on Senior Night – Girls Golf

The Louisville Leopards Girls Golf recorded a season low team score for their second straight match in defeating the visiting New Philadelphia Quakers 151-190 Monday at Pleasant View Golf Club. With the senior night win, Louisville improves to 12-2 on the season.
Strouse Ties Personal Best 33 to Lead LHS
Senior Erin Strouse tied her personal best in shooting 2 under par 33 to lead the Lady Leopards. Strouse birdied on hole #2 (par 3) and hole #4 (par 4) en rout to carding a season low for Louisville.
Fellow seniors Abby Davis and Alexis Ralston both shot 39 each for the Leopards. Sophomore Peyton Biery rounded out the LHS scoring by tallying 40 for the day. Other seniors in the lineup included Lauren L’Amoreaux who recorded a 42 and Claire Weston who finished with a 46 for the day.
Devore Shoots Team Low 38 to Lead Quakers
New Philadelphia was led by Sydney Devore who shot a team low 38. Other scorers for the Lady Quakers included Emma Menapace 41, Kelce Wing 50, and Emi Cerda 61.
With the victory, Louisville has now won five straight matches over New Philadelphia dating back to the 2019 season and have won the last three in the series played at Pleasant View Golf Club. Louisville also defeated New Philadelphia 162-206 earlier this year on August 30 at Oak Shadows Golf Club. The Lady Leopards are now 6-2 all-time against the Quakers, which includes a 3-1 record when playing at home in the series.

Louisville Honors 5 Leopard Seniors
Louisville honored their five Lady Leopard Golf seniors Monday for Senior Night. Those five seniors included Abby Davis, Lauren L’Amoreaux, Alexis Ralston, Erin Strouse, and Claire Weston, all of which started in Monday’s match against New Philadelphia.
These five seniors all returned this season after winning a District Title and making a run to state in 2020. Leopard Nation would like to thank these five seniors for their hard work and dedication over the past few years in making the Lady Leopards Girls Golf program the powerhouse it is today. Best of luck in the postseason and in all your postsecondary endeavors!
UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards will next travel to take on the Northwest Indians on Tuesday, September 21 making up their match that was cancelled last Wednesday. Tee-time is set for 3:30 PM for this regular season duel match finale.
