Leopards Split with Dukes on Senior Night – Swimming

Louisville Leopards Swimming Senior Night 2022

The Louisville Leopards Swim Teams hosted the visiting Marlington Dukes for Senior Night Friday at the Louisville YMCA’s H.P. Bishop Natatorium. The Louisville Boys defeated Marlington 62-44 to improve to 2-6 on the season. The Lady Leopards fell to the visiting Lady Dukes 100-69 to drop to 7-2 on the year.

The Louisville Boys swim team celebrated senior night with a win over the Marlington Dukes on Friday. Seniors Ty hopkins, Jimmy Barnhart, and Bryce Puckett all swam season best times in their events. Mike Conway placed first in the 200 Free and 100 Backstroke. First place finishes also went to Matt Conway in the 100 and 400 Freestyle events. Bryce Puckett set a season best time in the 50 Freestyle and claimed first place. Ty Hopkins placed second in the 50 Freestyle. The relay team of Hopkins, Conway, Puckett and Conway swam to victory in the 200 and 400 Free relay events.

Girls: Marlington 100, Louisville 69

Seniors Ashley Menegay, Shae Clark and Hailey McKnight were honored on Friday night as the Leopard girls battled Marlington. Despite the loss, Ashley Menegay, Jenna McIntyre, Gracie McCoy, Paige Anderson, Taylor Dimmerling, Anya Willett, and Wini Sheets all posted season best times. Anya Willett took first in the 100 Breastroke and Katelyn Claugus claimed first in the 100 Backstroke. The 200 Free relay team of Willett, Reese Joliat, Dimmerling and Claugus took first place as well.
