The Louisville Leopards Boys Varsity Basketball Team earned a convincing 76-57 victory over the Woodridge Bulldogs as part of the MLK Classic Saturday Evening at North Canton Hoover High School. With their 10th straight victory, Louisville improves to 11-1 on the season.

Siegfried Named Player of the Game

Equitable Advisors - Bryce MathieSiegfried scored 10 of his game high 17 points in the opening half to lead the Leopards. He hit 2 three-pointers out of the gate propelling Louisville to a 21-6 lead by the end of the first quarter. Siegfried would add his team high third triple of the game in the second quarter as the Leopards took a commanding 46-24 advantage into the half. He would add 7 points in the second half as LHS continued to roll to victory.

Siegfried also finished with several game highs in his stat line that included 7 rebounds, 5 deflections, 4 assists, 2 steals, and a block. Siegfried was named the Player of the Game and awarded a t-shirt for the honor after the contest.


Nigro Also Pours in Game High 17

Senior guard Hayden Nigro also scored 10 of his game high 17 points in the opening half. He also added 7 more points in the third quarter as the Leopards nearly had the Bulldogs doubled up at the end of three quarters in building a 67-34 advantage. Nigro would also finish with 5 offensive rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals.

Junior forward Brayden Gross scored double figures with 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists, 2 deflections, a block, and a steal. Junior guard Ashton Marshall also scored 9 points, gathered in 6 rebounds, and registered 4 assists.


Duve & Williams Lead Woodridge

My Fit Life Personal Trainer Side AdSophomore guard Blake Williams scored 13 of his team high 15 points in the fourth quarter to lead Woodridge in scoring. The Bulldogs outscored the Leopards 23-12 in the final quarter to trim the final margin down to 19 points.

Senior forward Evan Duve scored all of his 10 points in the first three quarters and was named player of the game for Woodridge. Senior guard Cole Blower and sophomore guard Branden Evans also added 9 points each for the Bulldogs. Evans also led the team in rebounds with 6.


3rd Straight Meeting at Hoover Classic

Lingenhoel Group - Arden and Lisa Lingenhoel - Cutler Real Estate AdLouisville is now 3-0 against Woodridge all-time with all three meetings coming at North Canton Hoover High School. The Leopards previously defeated the Bulldogs in 2020 an 2022 at the same Hoover hosted tournament, which was previously called the Spectrum Orthopaedics Classic.

Louisville finishes the regular season 5-0 in games played on a neutral court following their win at the MLK Classic. The Leopards will look to continue that winning streak in March.
