The Louisville Leopards Boys Varsity Basketball Team defeated the Woodridge Bulldogs 65-50 Saturday Afternoon in the Spectrum Orthopaedics Classic held at Dick Snyder Court on the campus of North Canton Hoover High School. With the victory, Louisville is now 9-3 on the season.


Aljancic Named Player of the Game for LHS

My Fit Life Personal Trainer Side AdJunior guard Will Aljancic scored 11 of his game high 26 points in the opening quarter to lead the Leopards. Aljancic was named player of the game for Louisville and honored after the contest.

Sophomore guard Hayden Nigro and freshman guard Beau Siegfried both finished in double digits and made 3 three-pointers each. Nigro dropped in 15 and Siegfried finished with 12.


Leopards Use 24-2 Run to Erase 10-Point Deficit

Lingenhoel Group - Arden and Lisa Lingenhoel - Cutler Real Estate AdThe Bulldogs jumped out to a 17-11 lead at the end of the first quarter and extended their advantage to double digits at 21-11 early on in the second.

Momentum swung hard after that as the Leopards answered with a 24-2 run to turn a double figure deficit into a double digit 35-23 lead. Siegfried made all 3 of his three-pointers for the game during Louisville’s second quarter run. Woodridge would cut the deficit to single digits by halftime at 37-29.

Jenny Can Cleaning AdThe Leopards remained in command and never trailed the rest of the way. They outscored the Bulldogs 18-11 in the third quarter to take a 55-40 lead into the final stanza. The two teams then played an even fourth quarter each scoring 10 points as LHS finished the game with a 15-point win.


Bryant Leads Woodridge with 13

Senior power forward Esseck Bryant was named player of the game for Woodridge after scoring a team high 13 points. Junior shooting guard Owen Snyder also scored 12 and sophomore small forward Evan Duve tacked on 11.

The Leopards are now 2-0 against the Bulldogs. Louisville also defeated Woodridge 52-45 as part of the 2020 Spectrum Orthopaedics Classic held at Hoover.
